Hello Live Oak,
It is a thrill for me to be a part of the Live Oak Elementary Staff. Starting our

eighth year as a school and continuing our progression as a community together

gives me the satisfaction of knowing that I am part of something special. I have dedicated

myself to becoming a lifelong learner and it will be an honor for me to work with the students

and staff of Live Oak Elementary to engrain that in our community as well. Before becoming a

teacher at Live Oak, I earned my teaching credential at California State University, East Bay.

I received my Bachelor¹s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Education at the University of California,

Santa Barbara (Go Gauchos!). I also have a Master¹s in Technology in Education from Lesley University.

In addition to teaching, I enjoy all different types of sports. Currently I play on a softball team and basketball team.

My wife and I have a 1 year old daughter named Daphne and she is the absolute joy in our lives.

We love going on hikes with our dog, Opie, and taking many day trips all over the bay area.  I look forward

to getting to know you all better throughout the school year.

Hello Live Oak Community,

I feel so honored to be joining the 3rd grade team at Live Oak Elementary School
and am grateful to have the opportunity to work with a wonderful staff committed
to empowering their students, as well as a school community filled with support.

I earned my teaching credential at Saint Mary’s College of California and received
my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrated Educational Studies with minors in Psychology
and English at Chapman University. While completing my credential, I was blessed to work
as a student teacher at Live Oak. Having attended SRVUSD schools as a child, I have
returned home to continue my journey in teaching.

In addition to my education, I bring with me a love of traveling, reading, doing puzzles,
and spending time with loved ones.

I am looking forward to an exciting year in C-7!

I am so excited to return to Live Oak this year! I've been working for the

San Ramon Valley Unified School District since 2008, when I first started

my second student teaching placement at Live Oak Elementary school and

as a substitute teacher in the San Ramon District.   I earned my Bachelor’s

and Master’s degree in English Literature and Language at Yonsei University

in Seoul, Korea and went on to receive my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential

and Educational Specialist Credential at St. Mary's College.

I taught in Elementary, Middle and at the University level for six years in Korea

before my move to San Ramon in 2007. I have a set of twins in 7th grade at Gale Ranch

Middle School and my oldest daughter will attend UC Santa Cruz.  I appreciate the high

expectations set by our staff and parent community, and will work toward meeting the

needs of all of my students to make them successful.  I look forward to a fantastic school year!

Teaching has always been my passion as I follow my father’s footsteps in becoming an effective educator.

I am thrilled to be part of the third grade team here at Live Oak Elementary...

GO GOLDEN EAGLES! It is so exciting to have the opportunity to work with a

dedicated and enthusiastic staff in such a supportive
community. I know it is going to be a wonderful year for teacher, students and parents alike!

I earned my teaching credential from CSU Hayward, and I have taught grades K-2 for

the past 17 years in the Bay Area. One of the reasons I chose to teach was to share

the joy I have for learning with my students, and help them become independent decision

makers and confident problem solvers.
I live in San Ramon with my husband, and two children. My son will enter Dougherty

Valley High School as a senior this year...GO WILDCATS!  He enjoys anything to do with

basketball, baseball and football. My daughter will begin her freshman year at DVHS also!

She also enjoys playing basketball and folk dancing, and is enthralled with the world of

fashion and music.  Together, we enjoy hiking, bicycling, and curling up on the couch to watch movies.
